One of the reasons I love paintings and photography and film is the power they have to move us. A painting can inspire an idea, a photograph can tell us multiple stories in one frame, and at its best, a movie can motivate us to social action.

Some time back, I interviewed Micki Krimmel and Daniel Hengeveld of Participate.net, the online community of Participant Productions – a film company with the mission to make the world a better place through the power of the moving image.
